Denim & Diamonds, was a huge success! The event raised almost $13,500 net revenue to support Covenant’s unfunded programs and services for patients in Baldwin County.
On March 25, approximately 250 guests dressed in their best blue jeans and bling enjoyed an evening at Oak Hollow Farm. Party goers bid on fabulous silent auction items, enjoyed a southern country dinner and danced to live music by Cool Rayz. Several ladies also participated in the “Queen of Bling” contest which was determined by audience applause. One of the highlights of the evening was a “Diamond Dig” sponsored by Estate Jewelers of Fairhope. Participants entered the drawing for a chance to win a diamond necklace and earrings valued at $3,500.
Guests also received a surprise special performance from Dan and Shelby with the 95 KSJ Breakfast Club as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. The crowd erupted in laughter and applause at the unexpected performance of “Islands in the Stream” by the pair. Visit the Photos page to see more.
“Denim & Diamonds truly is the party with a purpose,” said Jackie Crews, Development Manager for Covenant Hospice. We tried to create a fun and playful atmosphere for our guests, and you could feel that everyone genuinely had a good time. We are so grateful to all the community partners who supported this event and helped to make it possible. Their support enables us to live out our mission and to provide care for patients, regardless of ability to pay.”
All proceeds from this event benefit the unfunded patient care and special programs of Covenant Hospice in Baldwin County. For more information, please contact Jackie Crews at 251-626-5255. Stay tuned for the 2012 date!
